PR/FAQ and Working Backwards
Executive "Working Backwards" Coaching and session
Situation
AWS key strategic partners wanted to learn the “secret sauce” of how it was able to innovate so fast. They were also keen to learn how best to capture and pitch ideas so that the solutions team could best deliver.
As an Amazon Customer Experience Bar Raiser I had been running the Working Backwards trainings for teams internally. After a discussion with the Executive briefing team they asked if I could run it with some customers in a three hour session. Customers were asking to take the workshop so that they could take the process back to their companies
Task
Define and run a summarized workshop that gave executives the tools and methods to meditate and clearly articulate the customer, their needs, the primary benefit, the experience and the metrics to support the new endeavor.
Activity
Ran over 20 Executive briefings and also presented on the Executive track at re:invent to over 50 CEO’s and around the world in London and Johannesburg.
Result
I influenced well over 50 CEOs and hundreds of senior leaders to start Working Backwards and left them with excitement to innovate upon the AWS platform. During my three day workshop customers all left with 2-3 press releases of what they were going to take to leadership. These sessions were some of the most rewarding experiences of my career due to the excitement but also gratefulness of participants to have gained some new insight to their customer’s needs.
