Senior Manager UX
Led the design team of 8 designers and researchers for Amazon QuickSight, implementing UX Critique and Product design meetings for efficient decision-making.
Initiated the creation of the Quicksight Design system to ensure a cohesive cross-device experience and enable product "white labelling" for customers.
Implemented AI and ML to generate natural language insights and analyze data before customers even loaded their first visual.
Situation: QuickSight was the first cloud-based dashboarding experience charged at per user session level. Large organizations struggled to share interactive data insights in a controlled manner without incurring high costs for individual user licenses.
Task: Lead the team in defining the new experience, hire additional designers for mobile and web-specific experiences, and manage UX and visual design.
Action: Conducted multiple VP and CEO reviews, presented at team all hands, and delivered experiences including onboarding, authentication, data ingestion, dashboard layout, visualization creation, and AI-driven insights .
Result: QuickSight became a significant service for AWS, continuing to add value with machine learning forecasting, natural language queries, and AI-driven insights.
